FAQ

Answers about Artgen accounts, privacy of uploads, commercial use of outputs under the Terms, and supported languages.

Tool-specific questions are answered on each tool page. This page covers accounts, privacy, rights and languages.

Account

Do I need an account? Not to browse. You need to sign in to run fixed effects or AI generation. See credits and account.

How do I sign in? The Terms refer to email and Google account sign-in. Keep access to that email or Google account secure and don't share verification codes.

How do I delete my account? Through account settings or by contacting support. Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active Stripe subscription — cancel it first. Download any work you want to keep. (Terms, sections 9 and 12)

Privacy of uploads

When is my image sent? Choosing a local file prepares a preview in your browser. The studio sends it when you run a create or convert request. Fixed effects run on Artgen's server; AI requests go to the selected model's provider. The separate file-upload feature is a different flow.

Are my results saved? Studio results are kept for the current session, not as a permanent account library. Download what you want to keep. Studio creations aren't automatically published to a public gallery. This does not mean that servers or infrastructure providers retain no processing records; see the Privacy Policy.

Are my images used to train models? The Privacy Policy says the current application does not operate its own model-training pipeline using your prompts or images. This is not a zero-retention promise or a blanket claim about providers' training practices. Read the policy and applicable provider terms for how providers handle data.

What about separate uploads with public links? Files saved through the separate upload feature can be reachable by a public URL and may stay stored. Contact support with the URL to request removal. Closing the studio or deleting an account does not necessarily remove those files. (Terms, section 10; Privacy Policy)

Commercial use

Can I use the images commercially? Here's what the Terms of Service (section 5) say, paraphrased:

  • As between you and Artgen, Artgen does not claim ownership of images generated for you, and assigns to you any transferable rights it holds in them.
  • You may use outputs for lawful personal or commercial purposes only to the extent you have the necessary rights and comply with applicable model terms.
  • Artgen does not guarantee originality, exclusivity, legal clearance or suitability for a particular use; AI outputs may not be eligible for copyright protection.
  • Review outputs before publishing, especially where people, brands, protected works or commercial use are involved.

This isn't legal advice. Read the full Terms and the relevant model's license for your case.

Do I keep rights to what I upload? Yes — you keep the rights you already have in your prompts and uploads, and you must have permission to submit them. Artgen gets a limited permission to process them to provide the service. (Terms, section 4)

Languages

What languages is Artgen in? English and Simplified Chinese. Switch with the language menu in the header. English pages live under /en/, Chinese under /zh-CN/.

If the English and Chinese Terms differ? They're meant to say the same thing; contact support for clarification. Mandatory rights in your jurisdiction prevail.

Billing

See Pricing and credits and account. Cancelling a subscription is not a refund; refund requests go to support.
