FLUX.2 [klein] 4B editing guide
How to use FLUX.2 [klein] 4B on Artgen to edit an uploaded image — what edits work, how to phrase them, and limits.
FLUX.2 [klein] 4B is an image model developed by Black Forest Labs. On Artgen it supports both text to image and image to image, so you can generate from a prompt or upload a picture and describe how to change it. Model overview: FLUX.2 [klein] 4B on artgen.net.
Editing an image, step by step
- Sign in and open Convert (or an AI style tool's Style transfer tab).
- Upload a PNG, JPEG or WebP up to 5 MB. Use an image you have permission to edit.
- Choose AI reimagine as the conversion method and pick FLUX.2 [klein] 4B as the model.
- Choose a style and describe the change. Check the credit cost shown, then run it.
- Download the result before leaving the page.
Your image is resized as needed for the model before it is sent, preserving its aspect ratio. Choose a canvas ratio from the options shown in the studio; there is no edit-strength control.
Edits that tend to work
- Restyling the whole image in a chosen style (watercolor, clay, ink wash…).
- Changing mood or lighting — "evening light", "overcast and muted".
- Simplifying a busy background while keeping the main subject.
Edits to expect less from
- Exact preservation. AI may reinterpret faces, small objects and composition. If you need the layout kept exactly, use a fixed effect instead.
- Precise text in the image.
Phrasing tips
- Say what to keep as well as what to change: "keep the person's pose and the window, turn it into a soft pastel drawing".
- One change per run is easier to control than five.
- If the result drifts too far, simplify the prompt and try again.
Generating from text
It also works from a prompt alone in Create. Use the prompt structure in the FLUX.1 [schnell] guide — it applies here too.
