Formats and downloads
What file formats you can upload and download — PNG, JPEG, WebP, TXT for ASCII, upload limits and session downloads.
What you can upload
For Convert and the free fixed-effect tools:
- Formats: PNG, JPEG or WebP
- Size: up to 5 MB (5,242,880 bytes)
- Fixed-effect processing: images are resized proportionally to at most 512 px on the longest edge
- Fixed-effect transparency: transparent areas become white in the result
AI reimagine prepares the reference image for the selected model's limits; it does not share the fixed effects' universal 512 px limit or white-background conversion.
Use an image you have permission to edit. Choosing a local file prepares a preview in your browser; the studio sends the image when you run a create or convert request.
What you get back
| Kind of result | Download |
|---|---|
| Fixed effects | PNG |
| AI images, including AI ASCII source images | PNG, JPEG or WebP, depending on the returned image; the download extension follows the image's media type |
| Fixed ASCII (image → characters) | Copyable text, TXT download, and a matching PNG |
| AI ASCII | AI step produces a source image (credits); the character conversion then gives text / TXT / PNG like the fixed ASCII tool |
| Text to ASCII art (browser) | Copyable text and TXT |
| ASCII to image (browser) | PNG only |
The studio does not convert every AI result to PNG.
Where downloads go
Results appear in the studio canvas. Use the download (or copy) controls on that page. The on-page history lasts only for the current session — download anything you want to keep before refreshing or leaving.
The studio's recent results are not a permanent account gallery. This is not a promise that servers or providers retain no processing records. If you used a separate upload that returned a public URL, treat that link carefully; see the Privacy Policy.
ASCII text specifically
The fixed ASCII art generator maps brightness to ten characters (space . : - + = % * @ #). Paste text only where a monospaced font keeps spaces and line breaks — or use the PNG. Text to ASCII art downloads TXT; ASCII to image downloads PNG only. More in the ASCII tools guide.
